Project : Parking Lot repair and restructuring
As you have all must have noticed, our temple rear and front parking area are in desperate need of repairs and restructuring. Right now these seem like sore spots in our beautiful temple. No wonder devotees don’t like parking in the rear, and we are unable to fully utilize our parking spaces. It should be our mission to maintain the beauty of our temple from inside-out so that we have safe and ample parking space for up to 80 cars.
Therefore, it is our humble request that we all join together and try to raise money for this noble cause. We already have many devotees, including the BOT and EC members, who have made several pledges for this cause. However, a task this big will require generous donations from all of our devotees. We appreciate your donation in any amount, and no amount is too small.
*The project is estimated to cost $35,000/- to 40,000/-.
Project Plan
- Grade and clear marked trees
Remove trees that are marked and within the new parking lot dimensions. Trees
that are protected will not be removed. All debris will be hauled away.
- #57 slag rock
Approximately 370 tons will be needed at a depth of 3 inches to cover entire
area for new parking in the back lot.
- Parking curbs
Parking curbs are made of concrete and will be delivered and installed onsite. 2
metal pins are used to hold them in place on the ground. If you decide to use
parking curbs, you can install approximately 50 to 60 curbs in the back with the
space that will be provided.
- Raised Brick planter box
Demo raised planter box in front. Brick debris will be hauled away offsite.
