Devi Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, music and arts. She is the daughter of Devi Durga and is seen alongside her sister Devi Lakshmi and her brothers Ganesha and Karthikeya during Durga Puja. Saraswati Puja is celebrated on the 5th day of Indian month of Magha of the Vedic Calendar (also known as Vasant Panchami).
“Akhsharabhyasam” is an auspicious ritual which is performed to signify starting education to the children. Please bring a new chalkboard, chalks, books to perform this ritual with Panditji and young children of 2 to 3 years olds for the first time in front of Godess Saraswati.
